Love God
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” – Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV)
Why should we love God?
We found an awesome reason why: The reason we should love God is simply because He loved us first. And then He backed up His love with actions that spoke of His love!
This is love : not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. – 1 John 4:10 (NIV)
How Should we Love God?
At Bridge of Hope we’ve defined this 1st step in the discipleship process as reaching upward in worship to know, experience, and love Jesus. We love God by:
- Acknowledging Jesus
- Loving one Another
- Obeying Jesus
